The Largest Dedicated Wire Rope, Rigging and Engineering Facility in the Middle East

KTL Offshore have established the largest dedicated rigging facility in the Middle East within the Hamriyah Free Zone in the UAE. The facility encompasses a total area of 10,000 square metres which includes a completely paved outside storage/work area, a covered rigging production area and a covered warehouse.

The HFZ facility is the most sophisticated in the region and has been purpose built to target the heavy lift and offshore construction industries in the ME's booming Oil & Gas market.

The KimTest 1000 test bed has a pull capacity of 1,000 metric tons and an eventual test length of 100 metres, making this the largest and longest calibrated testing facility for the huge heavy lift slings in the ME. The facility also has the capability to manufacture up to 20" (508mm) diameter 'KimFlex' wire rope slings with a strength of 8,611 metric tons. This facility therefore has the ability to manufacture the largest slings in the region.

KTLO (ME) offers a wide range of specialist technical services such as constant tension spooling and installation of wire rope, inspection and re-certification of offshore vessel lifting equipment.

This facility is unique in that it is dedicated solely to wire rope and rigging, rather than the general ship chandling/supply market, which ensures that it fills the highly specialized niche market for high quality wire rope and rigging items for the O&G industry.

KTL Offshore have had a marketing office in JAFZA for the past 4 years so are very familiar with the region and are already a mainstream supplier of heavy lift and engineering solutions.
